Can’t get to the beach? Here’s what to do instead

  • Beyond the Beach. Sandwiched between Lake Ontario and the Bay of Quinte, with many rivers and lakes running through it, Prince Edward County is all about water, with more than 800 km of shoreline and tons of H20-based ways to enjoy it. Here are a few beyond-the-beach ideas for water-playing your way around The County. Here’s how.

  • Family friendly activities. The County is kid paradise. In addition to beaches and baseball fields, alpaca farms and apple orchards, there are a wealth of year-round outdoor activities to keep your half-pint County-ites busy. Let’s go!

  • Millennium Trail. The Millennium Trail is a 46-km multi-use trail perfect for hiking, biking or even horseback riding. Stretching from Carrying Place to Picton, backing onto farmers’ fields and vineyards, it’s a great way to experience the tranquility of The County.
