Make your own history while taking in ours.
Visitors don’t just fall for Prince Edward County’s culinary charm; history and geography buffs are equally drawn to our historic towns and villages. The influence of Indigenous, British, French, Dutch, German and many others who have at some time called The County home can still be seen and felt today. Once called the ‘Garden County of Canada,’ The County has been a thriving agricultural community since the Barley Days of the late 1800s. Our five local museums are the keepers of 225+ years of history, artifacts, heritage gardens, parklands, orchards and outdoor exhibits.
